HARDNESS

A durometer is used to test the hardness of the PLA. PLA was in fluids (water, clay mixture, and bleach) for a certain period of time. The hardness is important because for disaster prone countries like Haiti, the prosthetic need to withstand a lot of for in a quick time frame. Hardness of the prosthetic is useful in everyday tasks like in cleaning clothes, making food, etc.
